WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

I'm here to help you know yourself more fully, connect with others more intimately, and live life more meaningfully. I work with a variety of concerns including acute and complex trauma, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, coping with chronic and terminal illness, and intimacy, identity, and sexuality. Additional specialties can be found below. When working with me, you will experience a warm, curious, and emotionally attuned space where you can share your story, find symptom relief, and begin to heal and move forward in your life.

The foundation of my work is relational psychodynamic and I use elements from other evidence-based approaches as needed to meet you where you are at. Our time together will allow you to know yourself better and lead to change, whether you are seeking immediate symptom relief or longer-term transformation. Click here to learn more about my approach.

Please reach out with questions you have about me or my practice, or to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. This conversation will help us determine whether we might be a good fit for one another before beginning therapy. If you are new to therapy or looking for something different, let's talk about how I can best help you.

I have experience working in a variety of settings, including community mental health and medical clinics, inpatient hospitals, outpatient psychiatric clinics, residential/PHP/IOP programs for substance use and eating disorders, university counseling centers, and private practice. Professionally, I am the co-chair for the Division 39 Graduate Student Committee and am an Executive Officer on the American Board and Academy of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychology (Treasurer). Currently, I am the Assistant Director of Clinical Training and Assistant Professor at the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am also a Senior Consultant at Vital WorkLife where I provide individualized, confidential consultations to physicians, advanced practice providers, and healthcare leaders navigating personal and professional challenges, burnout, stress, career transitions, work-life integration, and interpersonal dynamics. I recently worked at the Marshfield Clinic as a clinical and health psychologist and was a faculty member in the adult post-doctoral fellowship program. I specialized in working with medical professionals, including physicians, residents, fellows, nurses and counselors/therapists.
